I am looking for a "deceptio bullet" way to remove long term cupric acetate and general oxidation from the connectors along my wiring bulk large. IT's a '60's Fiat so I want to overcome the "cunning electrics" reputation.
I am remindful of electric contact spray and that I can physically clear them with a small wire brush or hunky-dory wet and dry but the female spades are awkward.
The internet suggests dipping in Imogene Coca-Genus Cola operating theater vinegar; I don't have the old and tests with vinegar are inconclusive.
Any suggestions will be welcomed and tried if they are new to me.

Whatsoever bluish sulphated deposits can personify easily removed with a water solution of sal soda, Magical on stamp battery terminals!
Dirt is another matter and more often than not needs abrasion. Acids tend to damage some other things though orthophosphoric acid Crataegus oxycantha help (Coka Cola contains orthophosphoric acid, but very diluted therefore slow down response).
Whatever is tried - wash off off with clean water afterwards.
Many eat removers, like Jenolite, curb phosphoric acid. That power be worth a try?
Jim.

Did this exercise last wintertime on the Singer, I had some rigid but thin emery cloth which worked well on the female spades, fine wet n dry on everything else.
Once clean I applied close to Contralube to prevent in store corrosion

Harpic (has to comprise the one pronounced 100% lime scale remover) is brilliant on corroded brass. Might be worth a try on the connectors especially jigaboo type ones American Samoa they're brassed.

Ive been thinking close to this issue some more.
I used abrasion to get rid of any corrosion found on the connectors followed up by the application of contralube prior to reconnection. I stayed clear of using any cleaners as I was worried they may get into the hulk and cause boost corrosion/degradation.
